Suggestions that might improve "Feed Portal" 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hi,
I thought I'd start a thread for suggestions on improvements / enhancements etc for "Feed Portal", and so that perhaps I & (hopefully) other users can add more suggestions as we think of them....

Here's a couple of things I think are needed or would enhance the product:

1/ Documentation is (desperately) needed, especially for less technical users.

2/ I'd like "Feed Portal" component to be able to interact with "Pretty Feeds" module, & able to show feeds from "Feed Portal" without requiring the user to set up the feeds in PF Module... - just simply an option for module to work independently, or with FP, or a combination of both, and then user just adds ID# of the feed(s) listed in the "Feed Portal" component that user wishes the module to display....

3/ It might be nice too if there was an icon pack available for users to download which contained all the various RSS feed images (& in the right size(s) to best suit display in your component & module, plus small/compressed so faster loading etc etc) for users to quickly & easily upload & use with F.P. component and or Pretty Feeds Module...

4/ Another suggestion that covers other products also is I think it might be good (for customers and for your sales & marketing) is if you offered a package deal / special price for bundles, for anyone who wanted all or even half of your products.

That's all that I can think of for now as I've only just began configuring "Feed Portal", but I hope they help. Cheers, KB

PS: By the way, does anyone need a (huge) list of RSS feed sources? I don't know whether I can put the website URL here, and I also don't want to appear like a spammer, but if anyone needs, I have compiled one... perhaps Admin can contact me if they wish it included.. Cheers.

1) Documentation is now under development. Should be ready by weekend.
2) Agreed. Will be working on the Feed Portal Module after the documentation.
3) I'm not sure I understand. Do you mean icons like upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/43/Feed-icon.svg ? I just googled, seems that such packs are already available.
4) Currently, we just have four commercial extensions. Package deals we'll consider when we have sufficient extensions to offer. There are two more under development; may be after their release.
5) I guess you're referring to links within feed content. Will be incorporating this as an option.
